Long lasting imaginative fun. My 10 year old got this for his first birthday and it is still going strong. It has been played with and loved for years. My husband has made up stories about 'pirate jake' (who wees and spits water to hoots of laughter) and our other bath toys (mr crocky and a policeman - not included - get your own) and my boys still clamour for these even though they are now 6 and 10. (the 10 year old pretends not to be interested, of course).

There is a little lifeboat for the pirate and the octopus still squirts water. I think it will be part of bath times for us for many years to come. In fact, it is the toy that has been most played with of all our toys, full stop.

The pirate ship is a good toy to include in your baby's bathtime routine. The octopus is good for 'spitting' and produces lots of laughs as the jet of water is very gentleif you use an oil based soap in your baby's bath, the toy does tend to get a bit sticky, and the jet on the octopus can get a little clogged, but this is easily rectified by rinsing in very hot water. Perfect for alot of wipe using. Wanted one of these to keep my wipes in. I already have the green polka dot one and the white travel version. No complaints, holds more then one packet of wipes (i would say one and a half).

My only slight niggle/less star would be because when the wipes run low, you really have to stick your fingers down in the opening where the wipes come out and can be hard to get hold of the last few wipes. However, its not to much of a problem. I have others and hasn't put me off. A nice difference for wipes, as im always finding them getting dry in the packets.

After a very annoying start with the wipes getting stuck and having to fish them out (with great difficulty when you have your hands full with a wiggling baby) or by taking the back off the boxes, i realised it was the wipes that were at fault and not the boxes. The non-toxic gel is encased in a strong, reliable plastic envelope, which is shaped like a horseshoe to leave the nipple area free and flexible enough to mould to your breast and sit comfortably inside your nursing bra.
The compresses are hand washable and reusable, and are supplied with soft fabric protective covers. A great alternative to dripping ice packs or leaky hot water bottles, they can be cooled in the fridge or warmed up by placing in hot water. Cold therapy can be an effective way to relieve breast congestion and alleviate pain in the case of mastitis or inflammation; when used warm, the compresses can help to stimulate milk flow, unblock ducts and soothe the discomfort of engorgement. Nexcare Coldhot Maternity Compress. A brilliant idea for nursing mothers which can be used either hot or cold and are fully re-usable too. The gel packs are shaped in a horseshoe shape to enable them to surround the breast around the nipple without actually irritating the nipple and then these are simply slipped inside the provided cotton covers to prevent any discomfort to the skin from either the hot or cold touching the skin directly. The gel packs are washable by simply washing them by hand and the cotton covers are machine washable. To heat the gel packs you simply submerge them into hot water for up to ten minutes and to cool them you store them in the fridge. You cannot microwave or freeze the gel packs in case they burst. The heat therapy is to help unblock milk ducts and also to stimulate milk flow whilst the cold therapy is to relieve breast swelling - so as another reviewer has said, no need for the old cabbage leaves anymore! whilst the heat and cold therapy is lovely and soothing i do find the gel packs a little bit heavy in my bra and they do take up a little bit of room so best to use in a bra that is not already tight fitting, however the benefits of these compresses far outweigh the slight 'heaviness discomfort'. My one other 'niggle' would be that only one pair of cotton covers are provided and a spare pair would have been much appreciated especially whilst waiting for the others to be washed and dried. I have had a look but can't see that nexcare are selling any spare covers separately so perhaps they may consider doing this?i actually had no idea nexcare existed before testing these maternity compresses and that they also do a whole range of other coldhot compresses and maternity belts etc. As a sufferer of arthritis and also currently pregnant with my second baby i shall be definitely checking these out as my old microwave wheat bags don't always help to relieve the swelling on my joints if i can't get them positioned correctly, whereas nexcare appear to do compresses with elasticated covers to attach direct to the joint. I am also booked in for a c-section and note that they do post partum support belts too so very happy to have discovered them. Surprising!. I was not expecting this to work, as i thought it was a gimmick. I was wrong, and was really surprised the effect this had on the wife! she really liked the sensation, and it really helped her feel more comfortable!i recommend!!.

Work Really Well.. These work amazingly well and best of all they work amazingly well time and time again because they're reusable. They're horseshoe shaped for comfort and bring instant, soothing release. Or so i'm told. The missus highly recommends them anyway. .

Nexcare cold hot maternity compress is a product which i would happily recommend to any customer who suffers pain no matter if pregnant or not. Personally my favourite is the cold compress as i suffer from pain on my leg where my skin would get very hot and affects my skin further by making it very itchy. Within moments of setting this on my leg the pain and itching is soothed and the heat is reduced which means so much especially through the night and i am finding it hard to sleep because of the pain. The compress is easily heated by just placing the product without the cover on in a dish of hot water, therefore it will not over heat your skin and therefore you will be able to adjust the heat to your own preference. Never put this product in the microwave, i know there are products similar to this which can be heated this way but this is not one of them.

I would use the hot compress on my abdomen where i have adhesions due to a past operation and they seem to get very tight and sore, this product has become a real life saver in so many ways as it really does help me ease the daily pain and because it is not damaging in any way i can use the compresses throughout the day without damaging my skin. I love how the products have a little cotton pocket for covering them therefore the plastic coating is never touching your skin which might irritate your skin further. Whether pregnant or not this product is perfect to have in your first aid box as it will ease pain or even burns, they are the perfect shape for any woman who has suffers from mastitis especially when breastfeeding as there is nothing in the compress which will harm your child in anyway or even put your child off feeding which is the most important thing of all. These are so easy to prepare, either by popping them in the fridge to make them cold or leaving them in warm water to make them hot, and the cotton covers they come with mean that they are comfortable to use. I have tried both hot and cold and they work very well, gradually releasing/absorbing the heat and thus inflammation/pain.
