The Best Tomy Pirate Bath Ship

Review and Buying Guide of The Best Tomy Pirate Bath Ship

Long lasting imaginative fun. My 10 year old got this for his first birthday and it is still going strong. It has been played with and loved for years. My husband has made up stories about 'pirate jake' (who wees and spits water to hoots of laughter) and our other bath toys (mr crocky and a policeman - not included - get your own) and my boys still clamour for these even though they are now 6 and 10. (the 10 year old pretends not to be interested, of course).

There is a little lifeboat for the pirate and the octopus still squirts water. I think it will be part of bath times for us for many years to come. In fact, it is the toy that has been most played with of all our toys, full stop.

Not as shown in the pictures. The boat actually received has a brown base and not a blue base as shown in the pictures. My grandson was really disappointed as he only wanted a blue boat. I had spent weeks looking for just that colour, ordered this one as it was shown with a blue base only to be given one with a brown base when it arrived 5 days later.

Pros

  • Long lasting imaginative fun
  • Not as shown in the pictures!

Amazon.co.uk Review, Ahoy there cap'n! Here comes some splashing good fun with the Pirate Ship bath toy from Tomy. Bright and cheerful, this toy is bound to add fun and colour to your little bather's bath time.
The ship, which floats best when filled with water in the hold, is action-packed with tricks and all sorts of bath-time fun. Pirate Jake can climb the mast for a bird's-eye view over the bubbles. His playful cross-eyed pet Octopus is ready to give a quick squirt to any unwelcome visits. For a more masterly blast of water Pirate Jake merely needs to activate his big red cannon at the helm of the ship. Uh-oh, enemy gaining ground? Quick, add more water to the big spinning wheel for extra power. And if all else fails for our loveable Pirate, he can also climb into the getaway dingy and launch himself into that wet and bubbly ocean. Man overboard!
Suitable for children aged 18 months to 5 years. --Victoria Mackenzie

Conclusion of Tomy Pirate Bath Ship

The pirate ship is a good toy to include in your baby's bathtime routine. The octopus is good for 'spitting' and produces lots of laughs as the jet of water is very gentleif you use an oil based soap in your baby's bath, the toy does tend to get a bit sticky, and the jet on the octopus can get a little clogged, but this is easily rectified by rinsing in very hot water.
